Training is important as it leads people to learn and process new information, re-learn and reinforce existing knowledge and skills, and most importantly have time to think and consider what new options can help them improve their effectiveness at work. Effective training is also about unlearning past behaviors and learning new ones that can be successfully transferred back to the workplace.
The goal of each training is to be able to create an impact that lasts beyond the training itself. Training can be offered in order to develop the skills of individuals, teams or groups. Depending on the educational and training needs of the audience, typical trainings involve presentation and learning of content as a means for enhancing skill development and improving workplace behaviors.
However, and this is where the Arts in HRM™ approach differs, it is difficult to change people just on providing content alone. Trainings offered by us include elements of personal development which can be based on theory, brainstorming, movement or art experiments. This is a unique approach to training and is highly improvisational – the trainer does not impose beliefs to participants and preconceived notions but acts as a facilitator who helps participants make more informed and new choices.
